Venus is definitely more detailed and still 'easier' to listen
Yes, I am very happy with your customer service, and once Covid issues have settled I would be more than happy to come to your office and have a look and listen to your other products. A picture of my current setup please see attached. Currently I am using: Lindemann Limetree Bridge (streaming bridge) Apple Superdrive (audiophile CD transport ;-) ) Denafrips Venus II (DAC) SPL Director mk2 (preamp) SPL M 1000 (Poweramp mono blocks) German Physiks HRS 130 (omnidirectional spe

Stereo imaging got everyway better
And of course, few words about the current state of my music listening devices. Got new places for the floorstanders, amp, dac, etc. Still no proper room treatment, got much better imaging, but struggling with bass(some have to do with my really cheap speakers and some with the room dimensions). Some days it feels like I'm going crazy when moving speakers in different positions in a room. But hey, that's one thing that makes it affordable hobby when you get something new for

Thank you for bringing Denafrips to the world
I have enjoyed the Denafrips products so far purchasing a pontus for the garage and another for the main system and also a Hestia to play with. I have to say the reason I bought these products wasn't so much because of all the reviews but your buisness model of basically a consumer direct model and shipping set world wide. I’m very happy and satisfied
Hi Alvin, Your customer support is excellent and I’m very happy and satisfied. This is the photo of my setup. I know it’s messy cuz I’m testing the fiber media converter (orange cable is the fiber), and also testing the iFi Mercury 3 USB cable (used). I know it’s kinda funky to raise the USB cable that high. The reason is the cable is so heavy and I’m afraid the shear stress will damage the USB connector of Ares II so lift it to make some balance. I was listening to DSD1024x4

Ares opened a new level of experience
Dear Alvin, I´m happy to support you due to the great service & product your company provided to me. For my gear setup, the Denafrips Ares 2 found a new home as audiophile source, feed by a Lenovo Laptop with Audirvana installed playing music from Qobuz. Via cinch cable from Oehlbach it sends the signal to my T+A R 1220R integrated amplifier which is abused as pre-amp. As power amplifier I got my hands on a T+A A3000 to have a suitable amplification for my Audio Physic Avanti

Athena has transformed my system in a way that I would not have believed it could
Recently, I had the good fortune of purchasing the Denafrips Athena preamplifier from Alvin. Before I get to my impressions of the preamp itself, I want to address the customer service I received along the way. From purchase to delivery, Alvin, or a member of his team, kept me informed of what was happening with my order in a very timely manner. Any questions I had were answered quickly and in a comprehensive way. In other words, the customer service I received was top not

Its just so musical!
The Ares II recalibrated my expectations of what a DAC can do for my system. I heard snares, vocalists, and cellos like I'd never heard. The bass is tight and light on its feet. The treble is perfectly detailed. I've heard several DACs in this price range and the Ares definitely has my favorite sound signature. There are some small trade-offs; the Ares can sound a tiny bit thinner and colder compared to the Schiit Bifrost 2 and the SMSL M400. But what you get in return is dep

DRAMATICALLY improved!
Question: When I get close to my Terminator11, I hear a buzz/hum coming from the unit. It is not coming out of the speakers, only the unit. What can cause that, what do you suggest I try to do to eliminate the buzz? Thanks in advance for your help. Answer: The transformer mechanical hum is likely due to the impurity of the AC power, particularly some DC offset in the AC power supply.
