I like the slightly „analog“ sounding signature of this DAC.
I really enjoy my recently purchased Pontus II. First of all, I was very impressed how quick you were able to deliver: just one week from Singapore to Switzerland - unbelievable! The Pontus II is a very pleasing sounding DAC. It works very well with my transport (SotM SMS-200 Ultra with USB-reclocker and powersupply). Right out of the box I noticed a deeper and wider soundstage compared to the DAC integrated into my ATC SIA-2 100. I like the slightly „analog“ sounding signatu

A presence which is uncommon for a digital device
Well, finally, the TIIs are in our respective houses! First impression: impressive. Detailed, huge soundstage, presence, rounded bass, great treble. My Aqua La Scala sounds diminished in comparison, and it’s an outstanding DAC notwithstanding. Let me add that the sound of the TII is outstanding. Incredible soundstage, excellent bass, mids and trebles. A presence which is uncommon for a digital device (at least for me). No digital glare, no sharpness, no aggressive transients.

Pontus II make stream music sounds like real life
I use Apple+ 4K TV input to a Sony A1E OLED TV which sends digital signal via AudioQuest Vodka Optical cable to the Pontus II. Integrated Amp used is Line Magnetic LM210 IA and speaker is ATC SCM 50. Pontus II make stream music sounds like real life with 3D effect and excellent dynamics. The product quality and workmanship is second to none and the price performance ratio is top notch. Cannot imagine how much better the Terminator will be but the Pontus II will not be far beh

A fluidity / organicity never felt before
After a few years I decided to change my setup to something less entry-level, changing an Advance Acoustic integrated to a Rocksan K3. Already the dac wolfson present in the French integrated, despite having a good musicality, did not satisfy me in terms of separation of instruments, control and depth of the stage. After a while I started buying a series of dacs in the € 1000 range but all of them did not give me that analogical feeling I was looking for (I was about to aband

Venus II + Gryphon + ATC SCM50
The first song already gave me a very good analog sound! I found that the upsampling in Venus(OS mode) even better than Roon upsampling! Credit: Simon C. @ Singapore PRODUCT INFO: https://www.denafrips.com/dac WHERE TO BUY? https://www.vinshineaudio.com/shop

Truly a great product
Hi Alvin. I have been living with the Pontus II for two months now and the sound is really opening up now. It is a major upgrade when comparing with the Ares II I had prior to the Pontus. I have a Meridian 218 controller/DAC and also a DAC in my fabulous AVM tube preamp to compare with, but none of them has the musical transparency and warm organic delivery of the Pontus. I prefer the no oversampling slow filter when I stream from my Moon Mind 2 Streamer. Truly a great produc
