in my retro sound system and has made me pull out all
Hi Alvin Loving the sound of my new Pontus II in my retro sound system and has made me pull out all sorts of old favourites from my long neglected CD collection! Great service from Alvin at Vinshine Audio and now saving up to replace the old PS preamp with the Athena Pre. This system’s perfect for me. Can’t imagine changing it.
Hi Alvin. Here are the pictures of my system you requested. This system’s perfect for me. Can’t imagine changing it. Picture 1: Devore 93 speakers. Left cabinet: Aurender 150 on top; Pontus II below; my old Hegel 160 on bottom. Right cabinet: Hegel Mohican CD on top, Oppo 93 below, old NAD T775 on bottom. LG 65” OLED on top. Picture 2: my current amp, Jadis Orchestra Black from above. It sits on an amp stand behind my left Devore. If there’s a better-sounding system, I don’t

The Ares 2 made my Elites sound even better
I'm very happy with my purchase of the Ares 2. I was looking for a small setup to use at the office. Something that I could control from my PC and would not take up a lot of space on my desk. Eventually I bought the Mezze Lirics at a discount and the Topping A90 Discrete was on the way. Since I heard of the Denafrips lineup I was very curious about the R-2R technology and the Ares 2 was a great starting point. Since it has a small footprint and USB output was highly rated on

I love the sound of the DAC very much.
Hello. I love the sound of the DAC very much. It is a great improvement over my Ayre qb9 dsd. I have connected the dac to my pc via the I2s A input (I use a Pink Faun I2s bridge). What I have noticed that the Bass is much more detailed and the soundstage is bigger and spaceus. I am a very happy customer.
For (a start), let me say that I have Terminator II, Gaia, and Jay's CDT2 and they sound fantastic! I am a very happy customer. So today I connect the CDT2 via AES/EBU and my PC/USB to the Gaia and then HDMI I2S from Gaia to the T2 (the usual way). But since I listen to more CDs I wonder if I would get better results if I connected the CDT2 to the T2 with HDMI I2S and the the Gaia with RJ45 I2S? Normally I would just hook it up and listen, but I would need to buy a longer HD

The Ares is sounding very nice, by the way!
Hi Alvin, I hope you are well. My current system is as follows, but often gets switched around. My listening space is compromised right now... We are waiting for house renovation, after this, I can have things as I wish. YBA Heritage cd player, Primare NP5 streamer transport as source. An old AVI laboratory series integrated amplifier, ATC SCM7 speakers with a REL t-zero sub. I use Roon with a Tidal and Qobuz subscription. Speaker Cables are Kimber 4PR varistrand. A Supra Zac
