The DENAFRIPS Ares II is the DAC I’ve been searching for for 30 years!
Hi Annie! Attached are a couple of photos of my system for you to use on your website along with my initial impressions: The DENAFRIPS Ares II is the DAC I’ve been searching for for 30 years! It easily outperforms other DACs I’ve had in my system. I’ve had the Ares II in my system for about 10 days now. Everything sounds just as it should from individual instruments and vocals. Ex: an acoustic bass sounds like a bass, female & male vocals sound real, no brightness or ‘edgi

Very impressive combo.
Connected the Gaia DDC to my Ares II a few evenings back and I am stunned to say that it cleans everything up, expanding the image, and the engineer in me fathoms to understand why really…. I even tried swapping back and forth…amazing the difference. I have now setup the Gaia with the PontusII. I bought a standard 0.6m HDMI cable to connect them via i2S. It worked straight away and I have not looked at the pin settings asof yet. (It's advisable to go through the i2s pinout co

The sound is very natural to me.
Hi Alvin, Just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the Pontus II DAC. It is everything and more than what I had imagined it could be. The sound is very natural to me. It’s not to sharp and it’s not to soft. It’s perfect. I can listen to it all day long, well into the evening, and never get fatigued listing to it. I truly believe this DAC will stand the test of time. It’s just that good ! Michael G. @ Canada PRODUCT INFO: https://www.denafrips.com/dac https://www.denafr

And well, it was! I’m glad I ordered the Pontus II.
Hi Annie, I can share now some of my impressions, I have also one photo in attachment. I have already my audio setup stable for over 7 years, so I pretty much know how it sounds. All the main components are from Usher Audio company, which I really like as based on my judgement it represents really great value for money product. All the years it sounded great to me, even if I was using some more basic streamer with integrated DAC as a source and I knew this piece might be a bo

The Terminator Plus is a completely different ballgame.
Hi Alvin I have now had the Terminator Plus for some weeks, and it seems to have settled down, and do not need any more burn-in. I was not prepared for how much impromement over my last digital source (An Accuphase DP77 CD/SACD). The Terminator Plus is a completely different ballgame. The soundstage is huge, especially the depth. There is microdetails that I have never heard on recordings I have heard hundreds of times. And it is all delevered integrated in the music, without
