"pleasure - musical" device.
Received the Ares... Not break up at all yet, but fells the good potential, though in this state its sounds like "pleasure - musical" device. Thank you! Credit: Artem S. @ Russia PRODUCT INFO: https://www.denafrips.com/dac WHERE TO BUY? https://www.vinshineaudio.com/shop

I really think it is best dac I have ever heard.
I have had Pontus II today exactly 3 weeks, all the time power on, and I think it's now run in. I really think it is best dac I have ever heard. There is dacs which have great sound image, great presentation image, very much sharp details. But all I care is music and that I can hear those nuances that make instruments sounds real, I can hear tones and notes flowing, music sounding like real music presentation. And in that Pontus is really really good. Credit: Juha S. PRODUCT

I feel so much closer to the music.
Back in June I purchased a Denafrips Terminator II. I had been using a Denafrips Venus for two years and loved it. I had always wanted the Terminator and when Denafrips introduced the updated Terminator II I decided to take the plunge. I am ecstatic over the upgrade and over the performance. One of the things I noticed right away was the ability to connect the clock output of the TII to a DDC and sync the clocks on the two devices. I knew at that minute that a Gaia was

I am very pleased and ...
The Denefrips Ares II is connected to the Cambridge CXA 81 with xlr connectors. I have Kef LS50 Meta Speakers and an SVS SB-1000 Subwoofer. Input into the Ares are the Cambridge CXC CD transport (optical), the Bluesound NODE (coaxial), and the Panasonic BlueRay player (optical). In addition, I hook up my iphone to the USB on the Denafrips (although not since I recently added the NODE). I am so happy with the Ares II has done to the system, especially once I got it set to o

The sound really comes pretty close to the analog vinyl sound
Hello Alvin, I consider it a privilege to share my experiences with the ARES2 and PONTUS2 DAC's in my two audio systems. Yes, two systems, I like a variety in sound as well as a variety in music genres that goes from pop to prog-rock to electronic, acoustic, blues, classic, avant-garde, contemporary classic, world music and a bit of jazz. I am also a very passionate overtone singer in the European style as promoted by Michael Vetter. Despite my great love for music, I was pre

Can i connect the DAC output to two devices?
The short answer is, yes. We have a workaround for you. The outputs of the DENAFRIPS DAC are shared, i.e. RCA signal is linked to the XLR Pin 2. If you plan to connect the output to two single ended devices (amp/headphone amp/sub), it's possible. DENAFRIPS DAC is true balanced. You may consider to custom make a cable as the following diagram to 'split' the XLR output to positive and negative phase into two pairs of RCA. A customer @ US got the cable made by (https://snakeoils

The Ares II sounds fantastic
The Ares II sounds fantastic with the Audiolab 6000 CDT in a Prima Luna Dialogue Amp and a pair of ProAc Response 1 speakers. The streamer is the Bluesound node 2i. The Audiolab and Ares II combination deliver an open & detailed sound at an affordable price. Attached is a pic of my setup. It reminds me of listening to master tape
Hi Alvin, I wanted to let you know that the Pontus II worked out really well in my system. It replaced a considerably more expensive European model and it sounds quite a bit better. Listening to it reminds me of listening to master tape. Here’s a photo of my Pontus II and associated components.
