I hear quite a bit of improvement using Hermes USB to I2S over USB direct to the Terminator Plus. It also allowed me to eliminate a rather expensive computer I was using as an HQplayer NAA endpoint connected with USB to the Hermes and allowed me to hook my Mac mini M1 Roon server direct to the Hermes with USB.
Very pleased with my purchase in any case.
