As I sit here in the early evening glow, it has been 2 weeks since I began breaking in my passive amplification and loudspeaker setup.
At first, the sound was harsh, but I can now ascribe that to new-speaker-syndrome. The drivers seem to be moving more freely now and all harshness is gone.
What is left is the boundless clarity of the Apollo. Voices sound so real as if they are here in the room with me. Bass instruments have a high-end definition and tone which enables me to identify the acoustic instrument making the sound, even in heavily sampled electronic tracks!
I now believe I know what it means to "sound analog" and the Apollo has it!
My next step is to custom-build a:
The Loudspeaker-2 for a more optimized transducer experience.
