Thanks for your guidance!

First, I found the reason for the hum:

it was the antenna for the TV. I took a "Mantelstromfilter" (Capacitive coupling filters?) and the noise disappeared!

(Alvin: ground loop hum is a tricky problem. I would start with dismantling the system, hook up the essential components, i.e. transport+DAC+amp+loudspeakers. Add in more components step by step to isolate which component(s) causes the hum)

This is the way I finally found to Denafrips Ares II (and to you)

I tested these DACs each for 5 - 7 days:

1. Merason Frérot + POW1 power supply - good(improvement to my DevaDac 250)

2. ALLO-Revolution-DAC - not so good (no improvement to my DevaDac 250)

3. Atoll 100 - okay (improvement to my DevaDac 250)

Finally the Ares II - much, much better than all above, I am happy!
