Dear Alvin,
It has been (I guess) more than a month since I've integrated the Ares II to my system. The Ares II has now burnt in and is blending in with my system. All I could say the sound is fantastic, I can hear deeper bass from Ares II than my DAP before and the soundstage is incredibly wide and detailed. I can hear the placement of each music instruments and vocal very precisely, it is like the whole orchestra is playing in front of me. I have enclosed a couple of photos for your reference.
The system that I have is
1. Onkyo DP-1XA DAP feeding in the Ares II using USB cable
2. Cary Audio Design SLI-80 integrated tube amplifier (with original tubes, 4 x KT88 as the power tubes)
3. Better Cables - Silver Serpent Anniversary Edition - RCA interconnect
4. KEF LS50 speakers with silver plated speaker cables
