I can barely tell a difference between the Terminator II and the best analog sources I have. This is, by far, the best DAC I have ever heard.
Someone in a review called the bass "bloated"- I don't think they know what accurate bass is or the rest of their system corrupted it.
This iteration is very accurate and I am very happy to own it. Non- fatiguing, no digital glare, just pure, unadulterated music.
I just swapped out USB cables from an Audioquest Carbon to an Analysis Plus Purple Plus. There is no possible way I could now differentiate between the Terminator II streaming YouTube and a master recording on our Tascam reel to reel. It is quite impressive hearing things I hadn't before on recordings I have been listening to since 1970.
The Terminator II is teamed up with a Bryston BP-17 cubed pre, the Denafrips Hyperion and our own HK 2.5 speakers and custom server.
